This course covers the regulatins
laid down by the US EPA Asbestis Hazard Emergency Response Act
(AHERA) of 1986. This act lays down the rules and regulations
governing asbestos inspections in schools in the USA.
The course combines lectures,
discussions and "Hands-on" sessions. Topics covered
include: Health effects of exposure, Pre-inspection planning,
Inspecting and assessing ACM, PPE, Inspection walkthrough,
Bulk sampling nad record keeping.
